1/72 Resin Curtiss XP-42

kit #7235
Combination Resin & Plastic kit .This is LF kit #7235.. The Curtiss XP-42 is another in our line of P-36/P-40 ( Hawk 75/81) varients that allow you model the development of this great American fighter.
This Kit is based on the injection molded AML P-36 with resin parts to make the initial prototype of the XP-42. This Plane is NOT A P-40 It a P-36A with an entirely new cowling,it was Curtiss' attempt to streamline the bulky radial engine of the P-36.The Propeller was driven by an extension shaft and various scoops and ducts where fitted where it was thought they would induce the least drag. The result was a sleek, powerful looking fighter... This was the first varient ,there where 2 more equally interesting modifications developed. If you love Golden Age American Planes this one's for YOU !
LF/KORA models are cast resin muti-media kits, with decals, photo-etch,cast metal and vacuform parts. All kits come in sturdy boxes with original box art.The instructions are adaquate to finish the model but it is recommended that you have some additional refrences and information when building these kits( which I can help with...just ask ,Joe) As with most resin kits the modeler will need some building experience. I am always glad to give advise or if you wish I have an excellent book for sale, on "Building and Improving Resin Models" by Richard Marmo
As to shipping... Due to past experience ,I will not be responsible for uninsured purchases. So if you suspect that there are "Gremlins" in your Mail Box... please do the smart thing. sincerely. Joe
